I know the feeling -- it's either time devoted to my Jeep or robots or somethin. Learning Perl -- cool! That definitely counts. :) Take it easy --Michael

Haven't had too much time to 'geek-out' lately. But trying to learn Perl counts I suppose. Also have been doing alot more work on my car, which always seems to be an interesting challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!

For this kit, you could get away with a $10-40 soldering station no problem. I say go for it! Excellent kit to start with.

Jay,

That look AWESOME! I'd really like to make one of those for my desk, just for the "geek cred"... Toss in a nice little custom oak frame and you'd be set. How much is a decent soldering station?

Yeah, a Nixie clock would be pretty darn cool. I have to get more familiar with the Arduino code. This project was pretty much a copy, paste exercise. (But proof how easy that microcontroller can be utilized. ) I see a worthwhile project for them about every other day.

I quickly found this site had an amply supply of Nixies, but after paying .50 cents this just seems ridiculous: http://www.sphere.bc.ca/test/nixies.html

Perhaps I'll need to stop by another Hamfest and hope to spot a deal!

Excellent, thanks for those. The only one I am familiar with your list is LifeHacker. That site is just brilliant.
